Easter

We had beautiful weather and a great day! A quick search for eggs in the morning followed but a nice church service where Brother Bear gleefully participated in another egg hunt. Then back home to find baskets and take pictures before changing clothes. Aunt Robyn and Uncle Chris came to spend the afternoon and we had a great time playing with Kostyn and Evan. We cooked up a feast and ate way too much

Bubbles

Sometimes Spring just can’t come quickly enough.

Sometimes when you find a bottle of bubbles in the cabinet it is just too enticing and you must blow bubbles Right Now!

Sometimes you have to taste your creations.

Sometimes joy is so strong you must dance outside in your pajamas.

Mine Tour

We were so excited to have Uncle Hank, Auntie Lisa, The Princess and Z-Man join us for our homeschool group’s tour of Sterling Hill Mine! Brother Bear was a little nervous being underground and stuck close to Mama Bear most of the time. (Sister Bear stuck even closer napping on my back for most of the tour.) The crusty old miner who lead our tour was interesting, to say the least. The tour itself was fun and informative and we were surprised by how much the kids had learned and remembered when they were recounting the day for Papa Bear that evening. Brother Bear was particularly interested in the drills and the size of the drill bits. We wish we had had more time in the artifact exhibit hall, and many of the larger machine artifacts on the property were covered by the snow, so we will definitely return for another visit in the future.
